The Senior Product Strategy Analyst plays an important role in shaping UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare products through reporting initiatives and analysis of the industry landscape. By working cross-functionally with other teams such as Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Marketing, Benefit Ops, and Membership Materials, the Senior Product Strategy Analyst will be exposed to multiple divisions where their critical thinking and analytical skills can be applied. The role provides excellent growth opportunity within the Government Programs organization as the knowledge and skills obtained from the position are highly valued.

The position will be hybrid in Minnetonka, MN office. All hires will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Medicare product strategy to ensure the successful implementation of business solutions
  • Participate in analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of product development strategies
  • Collect, analyze, and present in-depth information on local and national Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan competition
  • Identify appropriate data sources, report metrics and tools for gathering required information per internal stakeholder requests
  • Serve as a resource for questions and provide basic training to users of reporting tools
  • Ensure data integrity among various internal groups
  • Assist in facilitating the delivery of cross-functional special projects or initiatives in a matrix organization
  • Perform UAT of new technical solutions that will improve efficiencies for the team, including AI-related initiatives
  • Work with Product Management in providing accurate and consistent content for marketing, sales, member relations, communications, and training

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in creating complex reports/pivot tables in Excel
  • Proven solid analytical and project management skills
  • Proven desire and ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work with and communicate with all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tableau or similar reporting tool
  • Experience with SQL
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
