Job Description

  • Permanent, Full-time | Ponsonby location (3 days in the office and 2 from home) 
  • Travel to Australia may be required at certain stages of the project lifecycle 

 

The role leads the successful delivery of strategic initiatives that support organisational objectives and deliver measurable value. It requires strong delivery leadership, governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement, with hands-on experience applying project management principles and delivery methodologies at scale.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading end-to-end project delivery, defining scope, objectives, success measures, delivery plans, timelines, resources and dependencies.
  • Driving governance and accountability, ensuring projects remain on track, within scope and budget, with clear reporting and escalation pathways.
  • Leading cross-functional teams and workstreams, coordinating business, IT and vendor stakeholders to maintain delivery momentum and clear priorities.
  • Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and change, proactively addressing bottlenecks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, supporting change management, operational readiness and successful adoption of project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience delivering complex, end-to-end IT projects and multi-stream initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of business applications, integrations and data migration.
  • Hands-on experience across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder, vendor management, communication and project planning skills.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CSM) and ideally experience in the Australian/New Zealand education sector.
