The Corporate Communications team at Kent Police is seeking an experienced Motion Graphic Designer to produce high-quality graphics for social media and force campaigns.

The role will involve working with the Digital Communications Team, Internal Communications and Marketing, and the Press Office, to design high-quality products which give the public a clear understanding of the force’s work.

The post holder will manage design projects, often involving complex or sensitive information, from start to finish, ensuring digital and static products are accurate, eye-catching and conform to accessibility and legal standards.

They will work independently to improve the force’s social media output, maintain force brand management and offer support and advice to senior leadership and stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced and creative motion graphic designer, with excellent attention to detail, who has worked on a wide range of complex graphic design and video projects.

They will be passionate about design and visual storytelling, with the ability to generate their own ideas of how to bring projects to life and boost the online reach of the force’s messaging.

The post holder will be used to handling competing deadlines and confident when working under pressure and offering advice to senior officers and stakeholders.

Please provide evidence of the following in your application:

• Experience of using graphic design software, particularly Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

• Video and infographic production and editing skills.

• Attention to detail when handling complex or sensitive information.

• Experience of creating products for social media.

• Brand management.

In addition, it would be helpful if you could evidence:

• Experience of working in internal communications in a policing or public sector environment.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £47,505.00.
