Position Overview
Altus Engineering is seeking a cleared Senior Business and Systems Analyst to support an anticipated federal contract opportunity.
*This position is contingent upon contract award
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements.
- Translate Government requirements into user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, workflows, and developer-ready requirements.
- Analyze contract and grant administration processes, including awards, modifications, invoicing, documentation, closeout, reporting, and external data exchange.
- Develop business process models, requirements traceability matrices, meeting records, decision logs, and system documentation.
- Participate in Agile backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and release activities.
- Facilitate collaboration among Government users, program personnel, developers, testers, cybersecurity personnel, and external stakeholders.
- Investigate user issues and data anomalies and coordinate with development and database teams to identify and resolve problems.
- Develop user guides, process documentation, knowledge-base materials, release communications, and training materials.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement while supporting continuity of legacy systems and processes.
- Support clear communication between technical teams and Government stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications / Desired Skills
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant business and/or systems analysis experience.
- Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with both user and technical teams.
- Experience with business process modeling tools such as BPMN, Visio/ Lucidchart, or comparable tools.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or comparable project and collaboration platforms.
- Strong facilitation, written and verbal communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mature Government applications and/or legacy system modernization.
- Agile/Scrum Certification
