Full description
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is excited to join a tech company that is constantly improving and re-imagining the logistics industry. Our candidate should be passionate about using data to solve big, complex, and ambiguous problems across end-to-end network design - spanning Inbound, Sortable, Non-Sort, Middle Mile, and Last Mile segments. The ideal candidate should be eager to continuously learn and improve their skills, with a keen eye for the details that make all the difference. You will partner with network planning teams to drive financial governance, support multi-billion euro CapEx planning, and shape the topology decisions that define how we serve customers faster. Do you want to contribute to shaping the future of logistics and the new standard of shopping? If so, come and join the Network Planning Finance team.
Key job responsibilities - Independently identifies and drives cost-out opportunities across multiple network segments (Inbound, Sortable, Non-Sort, Middle Mile, Last Mile) by connecting operational performance metrics to financial outcomes, defining the analytical framework where one may not exist
- Navigates complex, ambiguous CapEx and network cost structures with limited or incomplete data, exercising senior judgement to size opportunities, quantify trade-offs, and recommend action to leadership with confidence
- Leads root cause analysis on systemic issues spanning multiple sites or topology decisions, uncovering underlying drivers and designing scalable measurement frameworks that raise the bar on network efficiency
- Serves as a trusted strategic partner to senior Network Planning leaders, proactively influencing decisions on investment, capacity placement, and network cost strategy rather than responding to requests
- Owns the end-to-end relationship with data source providers and technology teams, driving automation roadmaps, defining data quality standards, and ensuring decision-grade data is available at pace to support network design cycles
- Identifies and champions process improvements across the wider finance organization, codifying best practices, raising the analytical standard for peers and junior analysts
A day in the life You will be at the heart of how Amazon's logistics network evolves. On any given day, you might be building the financial business case for a new site launch, modelling what happens to cost and service when a topology change is proposed, or presenting capacity investment trade-offs to Senior Leadership. You will partner closely with Network Planning, Operations, and Technology teams to translate complex planning decisions into clear financial recommendations. One morning you could be quantifying the cost impact of adding a new node to the network; by the afternoon, you may be automating a reporting pipeline using AI tools to free up time for deeper analysis. No two days look the same, but the thread that ties them together is this: you will use data, judgement, and financial rigor to help the business make better, faster decisions about where to invest, what to build, and how to design the network of the future.
