Kent is seeking an experienced Senior Project Finance Manager to lead our India-based with Finance team in Mumbai. This role is responsible for overseeing client invoicing, project finance, project controls, Oracle Fusion PPM administration, financial reporting, forecasting, and business performance analysis across multiple global regions.
The successful candidate will drive process standardization, governance, automation, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Finance, Operations, Project Management, and regional stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights and support informed business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader with strong Oracle Fusion expertise, project-based finance experience, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams within engineering, EPC/EPCM, infrastructure, energy, or professional services environments.
Your responsibilities:
1. Client Invoicing & Billing Performance
- Lead and oversee client invoicing across businesses, reimbursable, and other contract types, including support for new project and location start-ups.
- Drive standardization and automation of invoicing processes to reduce errors, rejections, and turnaround time.
- Maintain and improve billing controls, share best practices across teams, and set and monitor invoicing targets.
- Support payment application monitoring and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Establish clear Divisions of Responsibility (DoR) with regional operations and project teams to ensure accountability and avoid duplication.
KPIs: Monitor and manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and invoice issuance timelines
2. Project Controls & System Management
- Ensure highest level of alignment with Project Management, Project Controls and Systems Management functions.
- Oversee project setup and maintenance in Oracle Fusion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across the project administration lifecycle.
- Support cost input for Project Performance Reviews (PPRs), and Project Status Reports (PSRs) processing in oracle
- Ensure Oracle PPM reconciled to the General Ledger (GL), ensuring integrity between project and financial records.
- Drive standardization of forecasting templates and project controls processes across all supported regions and business lines.
- Provide reliable, consistent project financial data to enable Project Managers and leadership to make better-informed decisions.
KPIs : Project setup turnaround time from award to Oracle activation and accuracy of standard forecasting outputs.
3. Business Performance Reporting & Analysis
- Support operational finance and operation team with reliable function data for decision making
- Provide timely and accurate financial status updates to regional stakeholders
- Champion Operations and wider business buy-in by clearly communicating the Divisions of Responsibility.

4. People Leadership, Culture & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead, manage, and develop the India-based Project Finance & Controls team.
- Build a high-performance team culture grounded in accountability, openness to change, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans to build team capability.
- Manage team resourcing, workforce planning, and workload allocation to ensure optimal coverage across all supported regions.
- Act as the primary point of contact between finance, operations, and project delivery stakeholders.
- Communicate in a clear and proactive manner fostering trust and collaboration across diverse teams.

5. Governance, Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, service standards, and quality controls for all shared services outputs.
- Monitor and improve financial systems used for cost tracking, project controls, and reporting (including Oracle Fusion and Power BI).
- Lead implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of new financial processes and system improvements.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls.
- Serve as the regional focal point for global financial system rollouts, contributing input into the development of global finance frameworks.
- Document processes consistently support knowledge transfer, onboarding, and audit readiness.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review fit-for-purpose KPIs across the function, ensuring targets are meaningful, measurable, and aligned to business expectations.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Qualification/ Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or related discipline.
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (highly desirable).
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA or similar) advantageous.
Skill requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in leadership in project finance.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing project finance teams.
- Experience across project-based engineering, infrastructure, energy, or professional services.
- Strong problem-solving ability — able to identify issues quickly, think commercially, and implement practical, effective solutions.
- System and technology savvy — confident working with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred), BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel), and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for process improvement.
- Creation of executive dashboards covering revenue, profitability, cash flow, project performance, procurement and operational controls.
- Strong organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively across competing demands.
- Conflict management and resolution skills
Demonstrated experience working within a global organisation supporting multiple regional business units, with a strong appreciation of cross-cultural working
