We are hiring for an Infrastructure System Engineer (VMware, Storage & Network) international organisation in Petten, the Netherlands and various locations around Europe.
The requested profile is an Infrastructure System Engineer for the management of our client’s corporate infrastructure for virtual server provisioning, storage, and campus network operation
Roles and responsibilities:
- Administration of the client’s corporate virtual server infrastructure
- Administration of the NetApp storage.
- Administration of the campus network infrastructure.
- Administration of Windows-based server platform
- Administration of other server platforms
Knowledge and skills
Very good experience in the following fields is required:
- Administration of server virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere Enterprise)
- Switching Technologies (Particularly for Cisco), layer 2 network design.
- Routing Technologies. Dynamic routing protocols, layer 3 network design.
- Configuration of CIFS and NFS storage protocols and Netapp NAS storage infrastructure
- System administration of Windows servers (2012 and higher)
The following practical experience is desirable:
- CCNA level certification from Cisco or any other networking vendor demonstrating knowledge on the switching area of networking.
- Administration of complex IT environments
- Support for users of scientific information systems.
- System administration of Linux servers (RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and others)
- ITIL service management framework
- Production of technical documentation and training manuals for management and users
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Minimum of 7 years of total work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role/project
- Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1), Dutch (B1) would be an advantage
- This role contains sensitive information; therefore, candidates must be eligible to obtain a personal security clearance in the country of execution.
- Desirable certifications:
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- ITIL
- VMware VCP
- NetApp Certified Administrator

- Freelancer daily rate range: 350-400 EUR/day
