Systems Administrator II
GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training from Squad through Echelon Above Brigade (EAB).

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
- May serve as a technical team or task leader.
- Provides technical support to individual training and small, medium and large collective training events / exercises in accordance with the established MTC training program.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of systems
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Deploy, configure and troubleshoot network devices (to include cables) for exercises, training events and/or special projects
- Configure and optimize systems to meet operational requirements
- Integrate various components and systems in an LVC environment
- Collaborate with other branches to ensure system compatibility and interoperability
- Implement and manage security policies and configurations
- Maintain documentation for system configurations and changes
- Implement and manage security policies and configurations
- Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials
- Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel
- Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis
- Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced system administrator
- Follows DoD Directives and Instructions 8140, 8570-01-M, Army regulations AR 25-2, NIST Special Publications 800-53, 800-39
- Participates in special projects as required
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA/BS in a related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training
- Required Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of related experience; Military and MTC experience preferred
- Required Technical Skills:• Technical expertise in systems and related technologies;
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices;
- Experienced in configuring and maintaining networking hardware/software systems to include routers, switches and firewalls;
- Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Required Skills and Abilities:• Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems;
- Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions;
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Certification: IAT-II baseline certification IAW former DoDD 8570.01-M: Security+ CE
- Security Clearance: Secret clearance required to start
- Location: Onsite, Fort Bragg. NC

The likely salary range for this position is $76,565 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
