Department: Grants and Research Accounting

Schedule: Full-time | Day shift

Salary Range: $65,712.77 - $91,599.55 per year

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Review clinical trial agreements for billable terms, collaborate with Ascension sites to ensure accurate event capture, and generate and submit timely sponsor invoices via our clinical trials management system.
  • Actively monitor aging reports and investigate and resolve issues related to sponsor non-payment or disputed line items.
  • Maintain meticulous invoicing records and communication logs within the clinical trials management system to support internal tracking and ensure strict compliance with institutional guidelines.
  • Partner closely with our cash application analyst, clinical trials management system helpdesk, and clinical research sites to resolve issues with study build configurations.
  • Work alongside our cash application analyst ensuring a seamless end-to-end workflow.
  • Foster collaborative relationships and seamless communication across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to obtain accurate financial reporting.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Accountant preferred. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Strong foundational understanding of clinical trial agreements, clinical research revenue cycle and Medicare coverage analyses.
  • Hands-on experience using a clinical trials management system.
  • Clinical Conductor experience is highly preferred.
