Full description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Platform Tech Lead to help lead the infrastructure and platform behind our video analytics solution - connecting tens of thousands of cameras worldwide. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will drive the evolution of our DevOps platform, CI/CD capabilities, infrastructure automation, and operational reliability across both on-premises and cloud environments.

You will be part of a small and passionate team responsible for developing and operating the infrastructure and technology stack that serves as the foundation for our video analytics platform.

Our platform is deployed in multiple environments, including customer-owned infrastructure, private cloud, public cloud, and security-sensitive environments such as FedRAMP. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys solving challenges across the full spectrum of modern infrastructure rather than focusing exclusively on cloud-native deployments.

As a senior member of the team, you will help define our technical direction, mentor colleagues, and improve engineering practices while remaining deeply involved in architecture, automation, and platform engineering.

Some of the technologies we use:

  • Go and C++
  • Python
  • Bash
  • Kubernetes, OpenShift and Docker
  • Kafka, Redis, MongoDB and PostgreSQL
  • Elasticsearch and Grafana
  • Git, CircleCI and ArgoCD

Our company culture is based on freedom and responsibility. You will be given significant autonomy to influence our platform strategy, make technical decisions, and continuously improve how we build, deploy, and operate our products. At the same time, you'll work closely with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure our infrastructure supports rapid innovation without compromising reliability or security.

What you’ll do

  • Design and evolve infrastructure spanning both on-premises and cloud deployments.
  • Own improvements to our CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure automation.
  • Lead technical initiatives that improve platform scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Shape our long-term DevOps and platform engineering strategy.
  • Support deployments across public cloud, private cloud, on-prem air gapped installation, customer-owned infrastructure, and regulated environments.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to create fast, reliable development workflows.
  • Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help establish engineering best practices.
  • Stay hands-on: build, troubleshoot, and operate the platform yourself

Who we think you are

You are an experienced DevOps or platform engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and helping other engineers succeed. You combine strong technical expertise with the ability to influence architectural decisions and guide technical initiatives.

You understand that modern infrastructure extends beyond public cloud - you appreciate the unique challenges of operating software across cloud-native environments, customer-managed installations, and traditional on-premises infrastructure.

You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate effectively with different stakeholders, and enjoy continuously improving both technology and ways of working.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure for high-performance distributed applications
  • Strong experience designing and operating solutions across both on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms
  • Strong Kubernetes knowledge / container platform experience (k3s, OpenShift, AKS, GKE)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and GitOps practices
  • Strong understanding of Linux administration, operating systems, and system performance
  • Experience with databases, messaging systems, and distributed platforms
  • Good understanding of cloud security, infrastructure security, and operational best practices
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux build environments and toolchains
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or acting as a technical lead
  • Proficiency in English. Swedish is a plus but not required.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Nice haves

  • Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud architecture
  • Experience supporting customer-managed or air-gapped deployments

The hybrid position is in Gothenburg with several working days at the office weekly. You must therefore be located in Sweden within a reasonable commute distance to our office.
