Senior Data Platform & Business Intelligence Lead
Location: Linthicum Heights, MD Employment Type: Full-Time / Contingent Upon Contract Award Clearance Required: TS/SCI clearance eligibility preferred; U.S. Citizenship required
Position Note Chameleon Integrated Services is actively bidding on a proposal to provide Cyberspace Operations and Development for the Enterprise (CODE) services under the DC3 Technical, Analytical, and Business Operations (TABO) requirement. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Position Overview Chameleon Integrated Services is seeking a Senior Data Platform & Business Intelligence Lead to design, deploy, and govern enterprise-wide data ecosystems across our unclassified and classified networks. This is an advanced data engineering infrastructure role. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to front-end dashboard building or superficial report writing without underlying data engineering or platform implementation background will not be considered. The ideal candidate must have hands-on production experience building automated pipelines, optimizing data lakes, and implementing data governance frameworks.
Responsibilities• Establish and operate an enterprise-wide data governance framework that ensures data quality, security, and interoperability across multiple directorates.
- Implement technical systems for metadata management, structural data tagging, and content attribution in strict alignment with agency data policies.
- Build, configure, and manage high-performing data warehouse and data lake environments inside secure cloud and hybrid systems.
- Design, test, and deploy automated Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data pipelines using modern DevSecOps deployment frameworks.
- Develop secure Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to facilitate interoperability and secure interagency data exchanges.
- Monitor data quality metrics and build remediation scripts to correct gaps, reporting performance directly to government technical leads.
- Manage secure access controls and data-tagging systems to align platform storage with Information, Knowledge, and Records Management (IM/KM/RM) compliance mandates.
Required Skills & Qualifications• Production engineering experience implementing enterprise-scale data platforms, data warehouses, or data lakes.
- Direct experience writing automated data pipelines, custom ETL processes, and interoperable APIs.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data governance, data security controls, and metadata tagging protocols.
- Experience working inside controlled, regulated, or federal enterprise network environments.
Preferred Qualifications• Background supporting data governance or data engineering within a DoD classified system or a secure multi-cloud footprint.
- Experience integrating data pipelines with DevSecOps environments or DoD software factories.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
