JOB SUMMARY:

Serve as a strategic business partner to Universal Orlando Finance leadership by delivering data-driven insights that support decision-making and business performance. This role combines financial acumen, analytical expertise, and business knowledge to evaluate trends, understand guest and market behaviors, and identify opportunities that drive operational and financial results. Through collaboration with cross-functional partners, the position transforms complex data into meaningful recommendations, enhances reporting and forecasting capabilities, and helps leadership make informed decisions that support organizational goals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with planning and forecasting for park attendance and ticketing. Analyze sales trends, ticket utilization, and financial impacts using Excel, Snowflake SQL, and Power BI; communicate financial and operational insights to leadership.
  • Build, populate, reconcile, and maintain datasets supporting plan and LE attendance, ticketing detail, staffing projections, and financial outlooks. Write and refine SQL queries in Snowflake to retrieve, join, aggregate, and validate data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and maintain analytical solutions, including Power BI dashboards, semantic models, measures, and recurring reporting, as well as forecasting models, financial models, and ROI analyses. Partner with users to define requirements and improve usability and data quality.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests, including investigation of data variances, query results, dashboard outputs, and business performance drivers.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

  • Highly collaborative, with a passion for solving business problems and making internal clients successful
  • Able to translate financial and operational analysis into clear stories, dashboard views, and recommendations that support business decisions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivots, data validation, and financial modeling
  • Hands-on experience writing SQL queries in Snowflake or a comparable relational/cloud data platform, including joins, aggregations, common table expressions, window functions, and data-quality checks
  • Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, DAX measures, visual design, drill-through, filters, and refresh troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of data structures and reporting concepts, with the ability to reconcile results across source systems, queries, models, and dashboards.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the field or a related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing large datasets to solve complex business problems.
  • Demonstrated experience writing moderately complex SQL queries in Snowflake or a similar platform to retrieve, combine, transform, and validate data.
  • Experience building or supporting Power BI dashboards, including data models, DAX measures, report visuals, and reconciliation of dashboard results to financial or operational source data.
