Head of Engineering

We're looking for a highly technical, hands-on Head of Engineering to take ownership of our platform, engineering teams, and technical operations.

This is not a corporate management role. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting deep into complex systems, understands production environments, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves when needed. You'll be expected to immerse yourself in our platform, understand it end-to-end, and lead from the front.

Working directly with the executive team, you'll drive engineering execution, mentor developers, influence technical direction, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor engineering teams while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Take ownership of the platform's technical health, performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Lead architecture and design decisions, champion technical problem-solving.

• Work across both software development and AWS infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align technical initiatives with business objectives.

• Drive engineering execution and delivery in a fast-paced environment.

• Participate in on-call rotations and support critical incidents when required.

• Champion engineering best practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET and modern backend architectures.

• Solid AWS and cloud infrastructure experience.

• Proven experience leading and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, CI/CD, and production operations.

• Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing platforms.

• Comfortably operating in startup or scale-up environments where priorities can change quickly.

• Strong business acumen and ability to work directly with senior leadership.

• A natural owner who takes responsibility for outcomes rather than waiting for direction.
