About the Role

As an Application Developer and Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership while designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust solutions using Java and a diverse technology stack.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with architects and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java application development (Java 8+).
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot, message brokers (Kafka, MQSeries/IBM MQ, ActiveMQ), REST APIs, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Development Technical Lead
• Proven track record of driving the end-to-end SDLC, from initial requirements gathering and system design to automated deployment and production monitoring.
• Experience making high-stakes decisions on tech stacks and managing technical debt across the software lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Strong understanding of security, performance, observability, and scalability best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding software design patterns, TDD, BDD, and SOLID principles.

Nice to Have

• Development and integration of ETL/ELT processes using tools such as SSIS, Apache Airflow, or similar.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, etc.) as part of the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications, Agentic AI solutions, copilots, chatbots, or intelligent workflow automation systems.
• Understanding prompt engineering, AI orchestration patterns, and AI-driven process automation.
