Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements, and design, implement, and test solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, resilience, observability)
Develop high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with engineering standards and best practices
Contribute to both business features and platform/technical improvements
Collaborate with team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and pair programming
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices
Build and optimize algorithmic solutions used by leading financial institutions
Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code assistants), to improve productivity and code quality
Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and observability are integrated into developed services
Support troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning activities
Requirements
~2–4 years of experience as a Java Software Engineer / Developer
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Solid knowledge of Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot preferred)
Understanding of RESTful APIs and secure API design (e.g., JWT, OAuth basics)
Experience building and maintaining microservices-based applications
Good understanding of relational databases and SQL
Familiarity with software engineering principles (clean code, design patterns, testing practices)
Exposure to AI-assisted development practices (prompting, code suggestions, validation of AI-generated code)
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
Nice to Have
Experience with distributed systems and messaging (e.g., Kafka)
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Basic frontend experience (e.g., Angular or similar frameworks)
Exposure to TDD/BDD practices
Experience with Oracle DB and performance optimization
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using modern collaboration tools
Awareness of AI/ML concepts or integrating AI-based services (e.g., APIs, automation, intelligent workflows)
