Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) organization has a rare opportunity to play a part in building a critical Oracle Cloud Service. You will assist in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives. The position regularly interacts across functional areas with senior engineering management or executives to ensure that the objectives are met. You will have the ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Attention to detail and ability to multitask is important. Strong leaderships skills are required.

The Senior Manager of Engineering in the OCI Data & AI services group will be responsible for development, design, global operations, planning, forecasting and execution of a critical Cloud Service. Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Setting the technical direction for the architectural in collaboration with other senior technical resources.
  • Developing strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives in partnership with leaders across various Oracle business groups and customers.
  • Drive innovation through advancement of OCI data services.
  • Management responsibility over multiple software engineering teams.
  • Building high performing geographically distributed engineering teams through hiring and coaching.
  • Establish and implement engineering strategies that align with applicable standards and regulatory practices
