Your responsibilities
Join our Finance Information Excellence (FIE) team. Our mission is to build and enable a forward-looking Finance organization by combining advanced technology and Data Science with the expertise of our Finance experts in Accounting, Controlling, Internal Controls, Financial Services and IT. Join us in shaping this transformative journey!
- Innovation: Design and develop data-driven solutions using transactional data, financial statements, and unstructured information.
- Deploy AI at Scale: Apply advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and NLP (including LLMs) to support high-stakes decision-making and automate regulatory tasks.
- Collaboration: work closely with Finance experts and stakeholders across Finance functions to implement impactful solutions in close collaboration with our FIE experts and IT teams
- End-to-End oversight: accompany the full lifecycle of our data science initiatives from ideation to a live production environment.
- Community & Coaching: Act as an ambassador for AI within Uniper, training colleagues and helping business teams leverage advanced tools in their daily operations and engage with our AI and digitization communities
- Modern Ecosystem: Work within a cloud environment featuring MS Azure, Snowflake, Databricks and SAP complemented by modern productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 and Github- Copilot) with a modern workspace.
Your profile
- Professional experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in a data science delivery role in the context of accounting, controlling, or financial services
- Domain Knowledge: You understand the "language of business". Experience in Accounting or Financial Controlling will help you.
- Human-Centric: strong customer focus, combining empathy with the ability to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
- Data Science Expertise: A strong track record in Statistics, Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing (experience using LLMs for regulatory tasks is a significant advantage)
- Data Architecture: Familiarity with modern data stacks like Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure cloud services. Experience with BI tools or creating user-facing frontends for quantitative tasks is a plus.
- Education: Master’s degree in computer science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Communication: Fluent in English and German languages
- Growth mindset with openness to new technologies and a willingness to continuously develop relevant skills and capabilities
