As a Technical Product Manager – AI, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering Schwab’s growing portfolio of analytical AI/ML and generative AI solutions. You will partner closely with business and technology teams to translate complex business needs into scalable, high-impact products that drive measurable outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to lead across the full product lifecycle—from concept through delivery and continuous improvement—while influencing strategy, accelerating innovation, and supporting responsible AI adoption across the firm.

In this role, you will:

  • Translate business outcomes into clear AI/ML and generative AI problem statements, technical requirements, and measurable success criteria (including KPIs and model performance metrics)
  • Own and drive multi-quarter product roadmaps, balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and governance requirements
  • Lead end-to-end product execution from proof of concept through production, partnering with engineering and MLOps teams to ensure scalable, reliable deployment
  • Drive agile delivery practices including backlog management, prioritization, and cross-team coordination to maintain transparency and execution alignment
  • Collaborate across stakeholders to deliver impactful, well-governed AI and data products that create value for the business and clients

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience in technical product management for AI/ML, data, analytics, or platform-based products
  • Demonstrated experience delivering products across the full lifecycle, from discovery through launch and ongoing operations
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including model lifecycle, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, with awareness of emerging generative AI capabilities
  • Experience partnering with engineering and platform teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions
  • Experience working in regulated or governance-driven environments with the ability to produce audit-ready documentation and support compliance processes
  • Strong experience with Agile delivery practices, including backlog management, prioritization, and tools such as Jira
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders across business and technology teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or related practical experience as a technical product manager in the AI/ML discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering AI and data science solutions within regulated financial services environments
  • Experience supporting generative AI delivery patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, and human-in-the-loop processes
  • Experience with enterprise AI/ML platforms and data science tools (e.g., Dataiku, Vertex AI)
  • Experience creating reusable product patterns or scalable solution frameworks
  • Advanced degree in a technical or quantitative discipline
