Trissential is hiring a Data Product Manager to join our client's team and help drive a major data modernization initiative. This is an opportunity to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of enterprise data products that directly impact decision-making, operational efficiency, and future innovation across a large public-sector organization

Your Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data products
- Identify high-value opportunities by assessing business needs, data landscapes, and organizational challenges
- Align data product initiatives with enterprise architecture strategies and organizational goals
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from ideation through deployment, enhancement, and retirement
- Partner closely with data engineering and data science teams to build scalable data pipelines, models, and services
- Translate business requirements into data transformations, metadata structures, and domain-specific data rules
- Ensure data products maintain high standards for quality, governance, documentation, lineage, and scalability
- Serve as the primary bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Communicate product roadmaps, value propositions, priorities, and outcomes to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Define product success metrics and measure adoption, performance, and business impact
- Support the development of dashboards, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and analytics solutions
- Promote responsible data use, privacy compliance, governance standards, and ethical AI practices
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to teams throughout the product lifecycle
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 8+ years of experience in Data Product Management, Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related disciplines
- Proven ability to lead products and teams within complex and evolving environments
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, warehousing, metadata management, governance, and pipelines
- Experience collaborating with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analytics teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Experience developing and managing product roadmaps and prioritization frameworks
- Proficiency with SQL and data pipeline technologies
- Hands-on experience with data lakes, ETL processes, and enterprise data platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on measurable business outcomes
Bonus Points If You Have
- Significant experience with Databricks
- Experience using dbt, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Google Analytics
- Familiarity with Python and Java
- Experience implementing modern enterprise data architectures
- Background building internal platforms or developer-focused products
- Experience within a highly regulated industry involving reporting, compliance, and statistical analysis
- Understanding of data-sharing agreements and large-scale organizational data-sharing constraints
- Experience supporting cloud-based data modernization initiatives
Education & Certifications You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience will be considered
- Product Management, Data Management, Cloud, or Analytics certifications are advantageous

- Competitive Compensation – You choose the model that works best for you, both with company-sponsored benefits! $144,000–$153,000 annually or $89–$95 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
