This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst based in India.
This is a fully remote opportunity supporting a fast-paced finance organization with a strong focus on accurate reporting and efficient month-end close processes.You will own the preparation of recurring close deliverables and help ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and audit ready.The role involves close collaboration with finance teams and US-based stakeholders, requiring strong communication and proactive issue management.You will work with financial systems such as Oracle Hyperion SmartView while using advanced Excel and analytical skills to validate and interpret data.A key part of the role is leveraging AI tools to improve reporting, reconciliation, analysis, and recurring finance workflows.You will have opportunities to identify process improvements and reduce manual effort across the close and reporting cycle.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who combines sound financial judgment with a technology- and automation-minded approach.

Accountabilities
- Own the assembly of the monthly close package by consolidating inputs from multiple finance stakeholders and preparing supporting materials and leadership presentation decks.
- Load, validate, and reconcile financial data in SmartView/Oracle Hyperion during each close cycle, ensuring consistency with source systems and reporting requirements.
- Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar solutions to streamline recurring reporting, reconciliation, analysis, and quality-control activities.
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential reporting issues early and take appropriate action before information reaches leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce repetitive manual work and increase the speed, accuracy, and consistency of financial reporting.
- Communicate close status, data issues, risks, and deadlines clearly to finance stakeholders, proactively escalating potential delays or discrepancies.
- Support additional financial reporting, analysis, reconciliation, and process-improvement initiatives according to business priorities and team needs.
- Work effectively with Insurance/Reinsurance, Premium, Corporate Finance, and other finance partners to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, particularly in reporting, reconciliations, financial analysis, or month-end close activities.
- Experience working with US-based business or finance teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms for financial analysis, drafting, reconciliation, research, or process automation.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems; experience with SmartView, Oracle Hyperion, or similar consolidation and reporting platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, dependable work under recurring monthly deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, particularly when communicating financial information to US-based stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of recurring deliverables, identify issues proactively, and operate effectively without heavy supervision.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Insurance or Property & Casualty industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work 8 hours per day, including a required 4-hour overlap with US working hours from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM IST, with the remaining 4 hours flexible.
- Ability to maintain a quiet home workspace and a reliable internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.
