Job Duties

The Information Technology Unit (ITU) provides technology planning and support to the Department to help insure the successful accomplishment of the Department’s mission.

To provide support to statewide Video Network Operations supporting the agencies efforts of public safety and inmate facing telecommunication. This position will supply support and management of systems required for all DOC sites to provide these services including connections to governmental agencies, private sector programs and telehealth initiatives.

On Call - this position is required to maintain availability after an employee’s regularly scheduled hours to be on-call to respond to outages, urgent, critical, or unit specific issues as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent organization and planning skills, corrections experience, and an understanding of the utilization of technology in the business processes of the Department. Effective communication both in oral and written forms is essential. High functional computer skills are required. Working knowledge and experience with video Infrastructure, and use of video scheduling software or similar system. Demonstrated ability to perform across multiple projects simultaneously and to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues are required. Use of Leankit, Sharepoint, Asset Panda, PowerBi for documentation and reporting. Experience with codec (H323/SIP) video conferencing, ZOOMGov, Webex. Up to 30% travel is required.

Additional Considerations

Considerable experience with video conferencing equipment.
