Where the team fits in
This Product Manager role sits within PropTrack’s Mortgage Solutions tribe, in the product team focused on creating integrated, highly effective data insights solutions which improve processing times across the mortgage application and credit risk monitoring processes.
You will work closely with:
- Commercial & Customer Success – to understand pipeline health, segment needs and go‑to‑market motions for credit unions, fintechs, banks and broker groups.
- Design (CX/UX) – to deeply understand user journeys and design high‑performing experiences for mortgage application process and credit risk.
- Data Science & Analytics – to measure funnel performance, optimise targeting and experimentation, and surface actionable insights.
- Engineering & Delivery – to ship quality product improvements at pace in cross‑functional squads.
What the role is all about
You'll help drive faster mortgage application processing and stronger credit risk monitoring across PropTrack's mortgage solutions products, supporting lenders and brokers to make better-informed decisions.
The role combines a deeply embedded customer partnership with a broader market lens. You'll:
- Build an informed view of how Tier 1-3 banks, credit unions, non-bank lenders, fintechs and broker groups use mortgage data, insights and workflows.
- Understand how customer needs are evolving across mortgage applications, collateral assessment, credit risk monitoring and audit processes.
- Partner with Data, CX/UX and Commercial to run discovery interviews, generative research and experiments across priority customer segments.
- Own a roadmap across acquisition, conversion and retention, covering data, features, journeys, APIs and the core systems that support key customers.
- Use product usage, funnel performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities, prioritising them through customer value, commercial impact, data and strategic alignment.
- Work with Engineering, Design and Data in an agile squad to turn customer problems into clear product direction and measurable outcomes.
- Run experiments, including AI-assisted prototypes and A/B tests, to improve measures such as time to yes, valuation wastage, product uptake and customer outcomes.
- Identify ANZ use cases that can become MVPs and scalable products for banks, credit unions, fintechs, non-bank lenders and broker groups.
- Contribute to customer meetings, pitches, strategic account reviews, pricing, packaging and go-to-market opportunities.
The role begins with a strong focus on deepening the value of an established product and customer relationship. As your understanding of the customer and market grows, you'll help turn validated use cases into a broader suite of scalable property data solutions.
Who we’re looking for
You'll be a confident, customer-oriented product manager who can connect financial services problems with practical, data-informed product decisions.
You'll bring:
- Five or more years' experience in product management or an equivalent role.
- Experience in lending, credit risk, financial services, B2B SaaS, data products or a related environment.
- Strong understanding of residential or commercial lending and credit risk concepts, including the three Cs of lending: character, capacity and collateral.
- Confidence working with data, metrics and banking or credit information; you do not need to be a hands-on coder.
- Experience with customer discovery, product strategy, generative research and experimentation.
- Interest in AI tooling, AI product prototyping and the potential of data to improve lending decisions.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, including the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders and simplify complex problems.
- Sound commercial judgement, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to make progress in ambiguity.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach to working across engineering, data, design, commercial and customer success.
Experience with banks, credit unions, non-bank lenders, fintechs, brokers or financial services analytics teams will be highly regarded. If you have the product mindset, customer confidence and curiosity to learn, we'd like to hear from you even if you don't meet every point.
