About the role

As the DevOps Engineer, you will ensure the stability, scalability, and automation of OLX Lebanon’s digital infrastructure. You will bridge software development and operations, enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery of products with efficiency and reliability. You will collaborate closely with development teams from initial design through deployment, leveraging your experience in Terraform, AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Serve as a primary owner of production infrastructure health, ensuring system performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and best practices for infrastructure-as-code.
  • Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Docker to enable seamless automated deployments.
  • Maintain secure, monitored, and highly available systems and services.
  • Develop automation tools to support monitoring, scaling, and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, and networking layers.
  • Support migrations from legacy environments to modern AWS-based infrastructures with minimal downtime.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure system uptime and incident resolution.
  • Document infrastructure designs, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field and significant experience in DevOps.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
  • +2 years of professional DevOps experience in high-availability, customer-facing environments.
  • AWS cloud environments (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Monitoring, scaling, and automating distributed systems.
  • Experience with caching systems (Redis, Memcached) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
  • AWS, EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD best practices and deployment automation.
  • Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
  • Practical understanding of cloud security, DNS, load balancing, and network routing.
  • Ability to plan, automate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure systems.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
