The client we are supporting is doing Tableau as an enterprise analytics platform while executing broader infrastructure and data-center modernization efforts. Although longer-term platform decisions (Tableau vs. Power BI) are under evaluation, any final decision has been deferred until the end of Q1, and the Tableau licensing agreement has been renewed for an additional two years.The primary priority for this year is to:• Migrate Tableau into new data center environments• Support enterprise-scale Tableau administration• Enable and onboard new Tableau users as part of ongoing platform adoptionThis role is critical to stabilizing and modernizing the Tableau environment during this transition period.Job DescriptionIn this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Infrastructure Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning and execution activities. You will review and analyze infrastructure challenges that require in-depth evaluation of variable technical and operational factors, and support the resolution of moderately complex issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.This role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure engineering functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, with a specific focus on enterprise Tableau platform administration.SkillsTableau, Tableau server, Patching, DeploymentTop Skills DetailsTableau,Tableau server,Patching,DeploymentAdditional Skills & Qualifications• Serve as a Tableau Administrator supporting large-scale, enterprise Tableau environments• Support the migration of Tableau into new data center infrastructure• Assist with onboarding and configuration of new Tableau users and teams• Consult on Infrastructure Engineering initiatives related to analytics platforms• Analyze and resolve moderately complex infrastructure and platform issues• Collaborate with internal infrastructure, data, and analytics stakeholders• Ensure Tableau environments align with enterprise standards, policies, and compliance requirementsNice to have:• Experience with Ansible or similar automation/configuration toolsAdditional Notes• This role is administration-focused, not application development• No need for a dedicated Tableau developer • Interviews were previously paused but the interview process remains consistent• Preference for candidates located in Dallas, TX or Des Moines, IA, but is open to any core location including Charlotte or Chandler.• Role supports Tableau during an active evaluation period, with near-term focus on stability, migration, and user enablement
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
