Now Brewing – senior digital product manager, App & Web Ordering! #ToBeAPartner
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
Digital Product teams at Starbucks Coffee Company drive our digital future and reinforce our leadership in the market. They are accountable for delivering business outcomes and representing Starbucks brand through technology and analytics products that delight customers, simplify work for baristas and support partners, and ensure reliability and scalability. These teams define the vision and strategy for our digital experiences, shape the product roadmap, and lead execution to bring that roadmap to life.
As a senior digital product manager supporting App & Web Ordering, you will shape customer experiences that make it easier and more inspiring to discover, customize, order and enjoy Starbucks. You will own strategy and delivery across iOS, Android and web, with a focus on ordering, menu and merchandising experiences that balance customer needs, business outcomes, brand expression and coffeehouse operations. You will lead complex work from discovery through launch and learning, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Operations and other product and/or platform teams.
As a senior digital product manager, you will:
- Define and drive the strategy for App & Web Ordering – Connect customer needs, behavioral insights, business priorities and the broader Starbucks digital strategy into a clear vision and roadmap across iOS, Android and web. Own and prioritize experiences spanning product discovery, menu navigation, customization, cart, checkout, payment, fulfillment selection, post-order moments and new ordering occasions.
- Lead end-to-end discovery and delivery of customer-facing products – Frame ambiguous customer problems, conduct research and opportunity assessments, validate concepts, build business cases, and define requirements, learning plans and success measures. Partner with UX Design, UX Research and native app, web, platform and service engineering teams to sequence work, manage dependencies and deliver accessible, reliable products at scale.
- Integrate merchandising and continuously improve the ordering journey – Partner across Marketing, Creative, Loyalty, Merchandising, Analytics, Data Science, Payments and Store Operations to bring relevant product storytelling, recommendations, offers and seasonal priorities into the experience without disrupting the customer journey. Define KPIs, evaluate experiments and launch performance, manage cross-portfolio dependencies, communicate tradeoffs and results, and mentor other product managers.
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive responsibility in digital product management
- Experience building and delivering customer-facing mobile application experiences across iOS and/or Android; experience with mobile ordering, digital commerce or transaction-based experiences is strongly preferred
- Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain clear scope and value, and ensure timely execution
- Comfort and curiosity in navigating AI technologies for business applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in applying quantitative and qualitative data analysis to product decisions
- Experience with customer research, experiment design and A/B testing
- A curious, highly motivated and self-directed approach
