Senior Software Engineer – .NET / Angular

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – .NET / Angular based in Brazil.

This is a hands-on senior engineering opportunity focused on building scalable enterprise SaaS applications for organizations with complex operational needs.You’ll work primarily across C#, .NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server while contributing to modern architectural patterns.The role combines backend engineering with frontend collaboration, system design, performance optimization, and end-to-end quality ownership.You’ll work in a Shift Left environment where engineers are responsible for testing and validating their own work rather than relying on a separate QA function.AI-powered development tools are an integral part of the workflow, supporting faster coding, refactoring, documentation, and problem solving.The position offers significant ownership, cross-team collaboration, and exposure to modern SaaS engineering practices.If you enjoy solving complex technical problems and building maintainable software with a strong focus on quality and scalability, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your impact.

Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise SaaS applications using C#, .NET Core, Web API, and related Microsoft technologies.

• Break complex technical and business problems into well-defined components, designing clean and maintainable solutions.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services that support reliable, high-performance applications.

• Apply software architecture principles and patterns such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, clean layering, and modular design.

• Work extensively with SQL Server, including database design, complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance optimization.

• Use Entity Framework, including EF Core or EF6, for robust and efficient data access.

• Develop clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code while following established engineering standards.

• Take full ownership of software quality by designing and executing unit, integration, and performance tests as part of a Shift Left development model.

• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver customer-focused features.

• Contribute to frontend development and integrations using Angular or comparable modern frontend technologies.

• Diagnose and resolve complex application issues through effective debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.

• Use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies as an active part of the daily engineering workflow.

• Participate in Agile development practices, CI/CD workflows, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Work across multiple teams or squads to align technical solutions and ensure consistent delivery.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise or SaaS software development.

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and Web API.

• Deep practical knowledge of Entity Framework, including EF Core and/or EF6.

• Strong SQL Server expertise, including queries, stored procedures, indexing, database design, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with Angular or another modern frontend framework.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and enterprise software architecture.

• Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and separation of business logic and data access layers.

• Knowledge of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and application performance optimization.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD practices, Agile methodologies, and modern software development environments.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Excellent English communication skills, with conversational English required for collaboration with international teams.

• Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams or squads.

• Demonstrated daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent solutions.

• Experience building AI-powered features, such as intelligent search, smart forms, or NLP capabilities, is a plus.

• Experience working in a Shift Left environment with full feature ownership from design through production is advantageous.

• Exposure to event-driven architecture or messaging patterns is an additional advantage.
