We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Security Engineer (Microsoft AI Platform) to join our ICT service team at EUMETSAT. You will focus on platform engineering, infrastructure integration, security, and operationalization of AI services rather than prompt engineering or data science activities. The role will also contribute to the management and resolution of Cyber Vulnerability Management (CVM) security actions and remediation activities across the ICT landscape.
This position requires strong experience in Microsoft cloud technologies, identity and access management, security controls, governance, automation, and enterprise infrastructure deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Platform Administration & Operations
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry environments.
- Configure, test and deploy AI Agents and solutions across development, testing and production environments.
- Manage AI licensing, permissions, capacity, access controls and operational processes.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents and support the onboarding of new AI use cases.
- Work with business and technical teams to translate requirements into practical AI solutions.
Azure AI & Cloud
- Support the design and implementation of Azure AI Foundry and related Azure services.
- Configure AI projects, models, compute resources, quotas and secure connectivity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and enterprise platforms.
- Develop integrations between Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and other Microsoft services.
- Support cloud administration, configuration management and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
AI Security & Governance
- Apply security and governance controls across AI and cloud environments.
- Support security reviews, risk assessments, compliance activities and secure adoption of AI technologies.
- Manage identity and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC and Conditional Access.
- Support data protection, information classification and Microsoft Defender security capabilities
Vulnerability Management
- Manage vulnerability tickets and coordinate remediation with infrastructure and application teams.
- Support vulnerability scanning, patch management, security baseline compliance and remediation tracking.
- Provide reporting on vulnerabilities, remediation progress and overall security posture.
Automation & Operations
- Develop PowerShell scripts and cloud-based automation to streamline administration and operational processes.
- Create and maintain deployment procedures, technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Support continuous improvement of AI, cloud and security operations.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud administration or a similar technical environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID and PowerShell.
- Good understanding of Identity & Access Management, Conditional Access, RBAC, Microsoft Defender and vulnerability management.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting complex cloud and infrastructure services.
- Experience implementing enterprise security controls and coordinating vulnerability remediation.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry or Azure OpenAI is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, Logic Apps and API integrations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps and GitHub Enterprise is a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
