Technology Solutions are a specialized security and integrated systems provider with a regional office in Sheffield (at Clifton Court) alongside their headquarters in Lancashire. The company focuses on electronic security, system design, and asset protection. These vacancies are for their Sheffield branch.

Job Description

Technology Solutions are looking for 1 - 3 brand new Security Engineer apprentices! The apprenticeship would begin in October for the successful candidate(s).

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

  • Access Control
  • Video Surveillance
  • Intruder Alarms
  • Integrated Security Systems

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and learning new technical skills in various environments.

Entry Requirements

  • Must live locally to Sheffield if you can't drive
  • A driving license is not essential for local candidates, but would be a bonus
  • A practical, engineering mindset
  • Electrics knowledge or experience would be a bonus
  • Excellent teamworking and customer service skills
  • Eager to learn more about the wider security engineering industry

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Doncaster centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.

  • Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
  • Build evidence from your job to support your learning
  • Sit annual assessments at the centre
