COOEE alpin Hotels

COOEE alpin Hotels is an Austrian hotel group that has been running properties right where the holiday happens since 2016: on the slopes, on the hiking trail, by the lake. Founded by Rainer Schönfelder and Thomas Schmid, we still follow the same idea – hotels for families and for everyone who likes being outdoors, with a good location, a relaxed atmosphere and a team that gets stuck in. Our guests tell us it works: the TrustYou score across our houses is consistently above 85 per cent. Today we run three hotels – in Bad Kleinkirchheim in Carinthia, in Gosau at the foot of the Dachstein and in St. Johann in Tirol. Two more are on the way: in Kaprun | Zell am See the refurbishment is under way and the opening is expected in June 2027, and in Bad Goisern | Hallstatt we are building a new house that is expected to welcome its first guests in December 2027. That takes us from three hotels to five. Sustainability is part of the plan – our house in Bad Kleinkirchheim carries the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel. Behind all of this are around 120 colleagues in the hotels and at our head office in Vienna, where sales, revenue management, marketing and accounting come together for every location. We are a manageable group with short lines of communication and flat hierarchies: a good idea does not have to travel through five layers of management, it is usually up and running by the next season. And because we are growing, new roles keep opening up – in service and at reception, in the kitchen and in housekeeping, at the Vienna office and in management positions at the new properties. On this page we share what is going on in our hotels, updates on our building projects and vacancies across the group.
