We believe understanding comes from patterns: how blood pressure changes throughout the day, across sleep, activity and everyday life. Founded in 2018 by scientists from CSEM, Hilo (a brand of Aktiia) is built on more than 20 years of research and development into blood pressure signals. Today, our technology is FDA approved and CE marked as a medical device, trusted by more than 200,000 people worldwide and supported by 14 clinical studies, including four validation studies. Since 2023, the Hilo Band has helped people across the EU, UK, Canada and Australia manage their blood pressure during daily life. In the USA, since July 2026, Hilo Core brings together the Hilo Band experience, the FDA-cleared Hilo Cuff and the Hilo App into one complete blood pressure health system. Globally, our products help people move beyond isolated measurements and build a richer understanding of their blood pressure patterns over time.
