nLighten

Digital infrastructure works better when it is closer to the businesses, applications and communities that depend on it. That idea has shaped nLighten since we were founded in 2021. Today, nLighten is a pan-European edge and distributed digital infrastructure company with more than 30 data centers across seven European countries. We combine regional proximity with European scale, helping organisations build resilient digital infrastructure for changing demands – from AI and hybrid cloud to digital sovereignty and high-performance connectivity. “Europe’s digital infrastructure is entering a new era. As AI and distributed applications reshape where computing happens, our ambition is to build the infrastructure that keeps businesses close to their data, connected to the ecosystems they need and in control of their digital future.” – Dame Dawn Childs, CEO, nLighten Our approach is built around three principles: Close. Coupled. Connected. Close (bringing data centers closer to businesses, applications and users) – helping reduce latency and improve performance. Coupled (connecting data centers more closely with local energy systems) – supporting greater efficiency, resilience and more sustainable operations. Connected (connecting customers, partners and locations across Europe) – providing access to carriers, cloud platforms and digital ecosystems. Founded by people with deep expertise in the data center industry and backed by I Squared Capital, nLighten continues to grow across Europe supporting the performance, resilience, sovereignty and connectivity requirements of AI and distributed digital infrastructure.
