We began developing our first apartment building in the Bay Area in 1965. It was a garden apartment building with roomy floor plans, great landscaping, lakes, and a waterfall. Today, we've grown to over 13,000 apartments in and around the SF Bay Area, Seattle, and Portland. And that very first apartment building? It's still in our portfolio.
