Established by the Nevada State Legislature on July 1, 1977, the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) owns and operates both Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) and Reno-Stead Airport (RTS), but its role goes way beyond runways and taxiways. RTAA runs as a business and is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees who are appointed by the City of Reno, City of Sparks, Washoe County, and the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA). The RTAA board is committed to representing our diverse community and amplifying the values and attributes that make up our magnificent region. Separate from any other division of local government, the airport doesn’t receive any dedicated state or local tax revenue to fund its operations. By connecting with our community—we connect our community with the world.
