These operational areas include: The Christian Science Publishing Society, publisher of The Christian Science Monitor® and the Christian Science magazines The Mother Church Reading Room The Mary Baker Eddy Library Christian Science Plaza Activities, home of the How Do You See The World?® experience with the Mapparium® Globe The Mother Church opens its doors to the public through weekly church services on Sundays and Wednesdays, Church tours, and other special events. The Mother Church also coordinates public Christian Science lectures and other worldwide church activities, publishes the writings of Mary Baker Eddy (who discovered and founded Christian Science), maintains the Christian Science Plaza in Boston's Back Bay community, directs all legal, financial, and promotional activities, oversees the local Christian Science Reading Room, and more. The Christian Science Publishing Society has continually published products and publications for more than a century, including the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons, Christian Science Sentinel, The Christian Science Journal, and The Herald of Christian Science. It is also home of The Christian Science Monitor, an award-winning global news publication. The Mary Baker Eddy Library serves as a research library and museum, housing collections of church history and the papers of Mary Baker Eddy.
