Electrical Project Manager – Marietta, OH

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Location: Marietta, OH

Position Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to oversee custom power distribution projects through the full manufacturing cycle. This position coordinates engineering, materials, production, testing, logistics, and customer communication to keep projects on schedule and ensure successful delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of projects from initial requirements through engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, testing, shipment, and final closeout.
  • Work directly with customers and provide project updates throughout the order.
  • Coordinate activities between sales, application and design engineering, supply chain, production, quality, and logistics.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, deadlines, and milestone tracking.
  • Establish achievable delivery dates based on material lead times and available production capacity.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings and track follow-up actions.
  • Review customer change requests and engineering changes and determine their effect on cost, schedule, and delivery.
  • Organize Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), customer documentation, and shipment requirements.
  • Monitor projects for potential risks and coordinate solutions before issues affect delivery.
  • Maintain project records, status reports, schedules, and on-time delivery information.
  • Manage several complex projects at the same time while maintaining clear priorities and communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, or an electromechanical environment.
  • Background managing engineered-to-order or custom-built manufacturing projects.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling, order management, and coordination of long-lead materials.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Experience working across engineering, supply chain, production, and quality functions.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and project scheduling software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with power distribution equipment, including:
  • Switchgear
  • PDCs
  • RPPs
  • STS systems
  • UPS systems
  • PMP certification or active progress toward certification.
  • Knowledge of UL, NEC, ANSI, or other applicable electrical industry standards.
  • Experience coordinating FATs and customer witness testing.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
