Magrym Consulting is a small firm looking to expand in the coming years, and we are looking for the right team members to help us get there. This position is responsible for performing civil engineering work and project management, for both private and public sector. Work may include site development, commercial development plans, subdivisions and roadways; utilizing Civil 3D and other applicable software programs. Must be looking to be part of a growing team, able to work independently and manage Junior Engineers and Drafters. Must show initiative to seek work and maintain great relationships with existing clients.

Responsilbilities

  • Responsible for the overall engineering of the project, plan preparation, permitting, reports, etc. Including design, QA/QC of junior staff contributions, site visits, and meetings with client/contractors as needed.
  • Monitor the project’s budget & schedule.
  • Maintain client contact and relationship.
  • Design of subdivisions, grading plans, earthwork volumes and storm drainage calculations, design of utilities, including storm and sanitary sewers, paving, watermain, waterlines, waterline sizing, and street improvements.
  • Completes design calculations. Research code requirements and design procedures manuals.
  • Verifies design computations and plan detailing for conformance with codes, manuals, and design considerations.
  • Utilizes CAD and various software applications. Seeks technical information from peers when problems are encountered and expected to be outside of one’s own area of expertise.
  • Prepares correspondence, technical specifications and reports. Attends and participates at client and municipal meetings.
  • Communicates with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to project.
  • Coordinates final design computations with review agencies.
  • Prepares opinions of cost, quantities, periodic reports, pay estimates, and data necessary to document acceptability of materials and quantities for final payment.
  • Capable of dealing with multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required to meet client, project and/or business demands.

10-years of experience as a Civil Engineer. Must maintain a professional licensure in Texas. Knowledge of engineering and data analysis techniques and theories. Skill in the use of computers and computer-aided design equipment and in the use and maintenance of scientific instruments. This is not a remote position. Position is in Midland, Texas.
