The Systems & Data Analyst supports and administers Workday (HCM, Recruiting, Learning & Performance) and other people platforms, ensuring accurate data, reliable system performance, and timely support for managers and employees.
The role partners with P&P and Technology to optimise systems, improve processes, deliver workforce insights through reporting and dashboards, and help our people get the most from our platforms.
A key part of this role is communicating technical systems concepts in clear, practical, everyday language, helping managers and employees confidently navigate our platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Workday and other P&P systems to support operations.
- Configure and maintain business processes, workflows, approvals and structures.
- Ensure system access and settings align with policies, processes and compliance.
- Support system enhancements, new functionality and continuous improvement
- Maintain clear, practical documentation, procedures and user guides.
- Configure processes across recruitment, onboarding, employee movements, leave, performance and offboarding.
- Test and validate configuration changes before implementation.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of workforce data, organisational structures, job profiles and compensation frameworks.
- Conduct regular data quality reviews and support compliance reporting.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 user support, resolving workflow issues.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to configuration or documentation.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc workforce reports and dashboards.
- Identify trends and insights to support workforce planning & decision‑making.
- Apply a broad understanding of Australian Employment Laws to ensure people processes and system configurations support compliant practices.
About you We are looking for a System & Data professional with excellent communication and relationship management skills and a demonstrated ability to translate our people experiences into business processes enabled by technology.
In addition:
- Experience configuring and administering Workday or a similar Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.
- Sound understanding of P&P processes across the employee lifecycle and the ability to configure systems that support efficient, customer-focused ways of working.
- Experience maintaining employee, organisational and workforce data with a strong commitment to data accuracy, integrity and governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience producing workforce reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to support system enhancements, test configuration changes and troubleshoot user issues with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
