Systems & Improvement Lead (Business Improvement Project Manager)
Drive Operational Improvement Across a National Utilities Business
Flexible location - North Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne
UGL’s Utilities Operations & Maintenance business delivers essential maintenance and operational services for critical electrical utilities infrastructure across Australia.
This is a project management role focused on operational business improvement initiatives within a maintenance and asset management environment. You'll lead projects that improve processes, systems and ways of working for operational performance, helping our teams work smarter and deliver better outcomes across the business.

About the Role
You'll support the successful delivery of business improvement and operational change initiatives across UGL Utilities O&M. Working closely with operational teams, program leaders and key stakeholders, you'll gather business requirements, map and improve processes, support implementation activities and help drive the successful adoption of new tools and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into practical operational, process and systems improvements.
- Lead improvement initiatives from planning and design through to implementation, adoption and operational handover.
- Document and improve business processes, workflows and operational procedures.
- Partner with operational teams and key stakeholders to deliver successful change and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Support contract mobilisations and operational readiness activities, ensuring people, processes, tools and systems are fit for purpose.

About You
- Experience leading and project managing operational process and system improvement initiatives within maintenance or asset management environments, including process mapping, functional specifications, planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation, adoption and operational handover.
- Experience supporting field-based operational workforces within an electricity distribution environment will be highly regarded.
- Strong ability to analyse processes, identify opportunities and implement practical improvements.
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes.
