Role purpose

Provide senior-level business and data analysis expertise for the Parties capability, translating complex party and master data needs into clear, validated requirements, data models and delivery outcomes. The role will help the squad establish a trusted, well-governed view of party data across business processes, systems and integrations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis and validation for Parties and master data management capabilities with business, data, architecture and delivery stakeholders.
  • Analyse and document complex party data models, including entities, attributes, relationships, hierarchies, identifiers, classifications and lifecycle states.
  • Translate business concepts and data needs into clear process, functional, non-functional and data requirements with appropriate acceptance criteria and business rules.
  • Describe complex data models clearly for both business and technical audiences using conceptual, logical and process views.
  • Define and analyse data quality, ownership, stewardship, lineage, matching, survivorship and golden-record requirements.
  • Perform data analysis and profiling to identify patterns, gaps, duplicates, inconsistencies and migration or integration impacts.
  • Maintain traceability between business objectives, data requirements, model decisions, solution design and delivered outcomes.
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation, ensuring requirements are sufficiently detailed and ready for design, build and testing.
  • Challenge requirements constructively to expose gaps, dependencies, downstream impacts and edge cases across consuming and source systems.
  • Coordinate business and data clarification throughout design, build, testing, migration and defect resolution, while promoting consistent analysis standards and knowledge continuity within the squad.

Experience and knowledge

  • Demonstrable experience with master data management solutions and party, customer, client, counterparty or legal-entity data domains.
  • Strong conceptual and logical data-modelling capability, including complex entity relationships, hierarchies and reference data.
  • Advanced data analysis, profiling and interpretation skills, with the ability to convert findings into actionable requirements.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, ownership, stewardship, matching and golden-record concepts.
  • Experience analysing data flows and integration dependencies across source systems, MDM platforms and consuming applications.
  • Ability to produce clear data dictionaries, model descriptions, mapping specifications, business rules and decision records.
  • Business process and requirements analysis within complex application or platform change.
  • Agile delivery, backlog management and stakeholder facilitation across business, data and technology teams.

Profile

  • Strong, structured analyst who can simplify and explain complex party and data models without losing precision.
  • Excellent analytical judgement, data curiosity and attention to detail.
  • Able to bridge business, data architecture and engineering perspectives.
  • Comfortable working independently in a complex stakeholder and system landscape.
  • Comfortable constructively challenging assumptions and resolving ambiguity while remaining pragmatic and outcome-focused.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and active listening.
  • Strong spoken English skills are required.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills, alongside influencing, presentation and time-management skills.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
  • Creative, adaptable and willing to continuously improve delivery and development processes.
  • Able to work independently and proactively learn, including building a business network and asking questions.
