Full description

About Jeeny: Jeeny is a mobile application that eases daily commuting and transportation. By connecting you with your preferred mode of transportation, we are fulfilling our aim of making mobility accessible, affordable, and flexible for all.

We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group), Rocket Internet, and IMENA. Jeeny was established in 2014 as Easy Taxi. However, in 2016, it was revamped as Jeeny to cater to other services. Currently, we are operational in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

We have offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Amman, Lahore, and Karachi.

About the Role: As Product Manager - Driver Experience, you will own the Jeeny Driver App and the complete experience drivers rely on every day to work and earn. You will lead improvements across the daily ride journey, earnings and wallet features, driver policies, app quality and product instrumentation. Working closely with engineering, design, BI, customer experience and operations teams across Lahore, Riyadh, Amman and Dubai, you will use driver insights and data to identify problems, set priorities and deliver measurable improvements to the driver experience.

Responsibilities: What you will own

The Jeeny Driver App, end to end, and the driver-facing rules that sit behind it.

  • The daily loop. Going online, the offer screen, navigating to pickup, the ride itself, ending the ride, collecting cash, seeing what you earned.
  • Earnings and money surfaces. Wallet, earnings visibility, receipts, commission and subscription products.
  • Driver standing and enforcement. Cancellation policy, warnings, blocking and unblocking, and the fairness of all of it. These are product decisions with a real human cost, not config.
  • App quality. Crashes, ANRs, store ratings and the review queue on Android and iOS.
  • The instrumentation underneath. If the driver journey is not measured properly, none of the above can be argued about honestly. Part of this job is making sure it is.

What you will actually do:

  • Write PRDs that engineers can build from without a translation layer. Jeeny is moving to an API-first, spec-driven platform, so requirements carry testable Given / When / Then scenarios. A PRD without them is not finished.
  • Answer your own data questions. You will have Snowflake, Metabase, CleverTap, GA4 and Clarity. You are expected to write the query yourself rather than queue behind the BI team for every number.
  • Separate the problem from the noise. A lot of what reaches product arrives as a complaint from operations or customer support. Your job is to work out whether it is one problem or three, how big each is, and which one is worth a sprint.
  • Talk to drivers and to the people who talk to drivers. Field operations in Riyadh, the call centre, the support team. The best driver insight in this company does not live in a dashboard.
  • Ship with a distributed team. Design, engineering, BI, customer experience and KSA operations, across several timezones and two languages.
  • Use AI properly. This team writes its own internal agents and skills for research, analysis and document work. You are expected to pick that up and push it further, not to be introduced to it.
  • 3 - 5 years in product management, with at least two of them owning a consumer or marketplace mobile app that real people depended on.
  • Evidence that you have written requirements for an engineering team built from directly. We will ask to see one.
  • SQL you write yourself. Not "exposure to", not "worked closely with analysts". You should be able to pull your own funnel and defend the definition.
  • Judgement about trade-offs, and the nerve to say what you are not going to do and why.
  • Clear written English. Most of this job is writing, and most of the audience is not in your timezone.
  • An instinct for users who are doing something else while using your product. A driver is working, often driving, frequently in the sun, sometimes arguing with a passenger. Design that ignores this is design that fails.

It would help• Ride-hailing, delivery, logistics, or fintech built for gig workers.

  • Experience shipping to Saudi Arabia or the wider Gulf, or working with Arabic-language and RTL products.
  • Hands-on work with product analytics and instrumentation, for example CleverTap, GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel or Clarity.
  • Experience with BDD, spec-driven development or working inside a replatforming programme.
  • Urdu and English both, which is how this team actually talks to each other.

Note:

  • This is not a backlog management role, and it is not a delivery-manager seat with a product title. Nobody here will hand you a prioritised list.

Your First 90 Day's:

  • By day 30. You know the Driver App cold, screen by screen, including the states most people never see. You have sat with customer support and with KSA operations. You have shipped at least one small fix so you know how the pipeline works end to end.
  • By day 60. You own a PRD end to end, from problem statement through BDD scenarios to release, and you are running the conversation with engineering and design yourself.
  • By day 90. You own a driver-facing metric and you are the person in the room who can explain what moved it, without being asked twice.
