ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a potential Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of a state client. This potential role will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating software development and system modernization activities in a state-wide implementation effort. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide project support and oversight of State government software development efforts.
  • Monitor Scrum teams to ensure software development projects are executed properly.
  • Provide oversight of software development activities related to enhancements and maintenance of enterprise software and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations related to the project and findings to client leadership. 
  • Provide insight on key Agile Discovery, Sprint, and Release activities.
  • Monitor projects for risks and issues and report those to the client. 
  • Support and contribute to written weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports. 
  • Apply advanced thinking to problems with encouragement and support.
  • Proactively conduct research into identified and potential client problems.
  • Conduct deep review of vendor deliverables for the assigned functional scope area for completeness and correctness.
  • Conduct risk assessments to help the client resolve technical issues and/or discrepancies with existing policies and procedures.
  • Engage in team’s strategic discussions.
  • Support the client and stakeholders in achieving project success.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Independent Verification and Validation in a large and complex software development environment.
  • Preferred previous experience with hands on software development and/or testing.
  • Minimum three (3) years working in an Agile SDLC environment (Scrum, Kanban, Lean Software Development, etc.)
  • PMP Certification 
  • Experience with enterprise software transformation, modernization, including migrations and integrations.
  • Familiar with identifying and applying Information Technologies industry standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines independently as well as part of the team.
  • Strong people and presentation skills
  • Have strong written and oral presentation skills and be able to present ideas in a simple way.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Based out of or near Austin, TX.
  • Experience providing consulting or advisory services to a government client or agency.
  • Experience with all phases of the IT Disaster Management Cycle.
  • Familiar with challenges associated with Cloud environments, governance, and compliance.

Compensation / Salary Range: Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.
