SUMMARY: Data Product Analyst will manage the lifecycle of our clinical data assets and will treat data not just as a resource, but as a high-quality product that powers our clinical insights and emerging AI initiatives. Data Product Analyst will be responsible for the "production-readiness" of our data, focusing on data governance and master data management to ensuring that the data products feeding our data intelligence, analytics, Generative AI (GenAI), and Agentic AI systems are governed, reliable, and scalable. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) 
  • Act as the custodian of the Master Data Management strategy, ensuring core entities (e.g., sites, patients, investigators) remain consistent across all AI and analytics products. 
  • Enforce Data Governance through unified metadata management, ensuring that every data product has clear lineage and strict access controls. 
  • Ensure data products comply with global clinical regulations and privacy standards through automated governance checks within the pipeline. 

Data Product Strategy and Lifecycle 

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, ensuring they are organized and packaged to enable easy access for downstream users. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define "Definition of Done" for data assets, incorporating quality, security, and accessibility standards. 

DataOps and Pipeline Excellence 

  • Oversee the health of the data "assembly line," utilizing automated testing and CI/CD principles to ensure continuous delivery of data products. 
  • Implement real-time monitoring and observability to detect pipeline anomalies before they impact downstream dashboards, AI models, or other applications.
  • Reduce "data debt" by standardizing transformation logic and promoting the reuse of modular data components.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Professional experience within the Azure cloud environment. 
  • Data Platform: Experience with data warehouses and/or Databricks. 
  • Governance & Lineage: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and/or Databricks Unity Catalog for centralized discovery and access control. 
  • MDM:  proficiency with Profisee, Informatica, or Ataccama. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. 
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience data governance and/or master data management, preferably within a regulated industry like Life Sciences or Clinical Research. ​

Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
