About This Opportunity

The Quality Engineering & DevOps Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise software delivery, test automation, quality engineering, and DevOps initiatives. Working alongside experienced Automation Engineers, Architects, and DevOps professionals, this role will help improve software quality, accelerate delivery processes, and enhance operational efficiency through automation.

This internship provides exposure to modern quality engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, AI-assisted development tools, test automation frameworks, and enterprise-scale software delivery processes.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, enjoys solving problems, and is interested in learning how high-performing engineering organizations ensure software quality and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

Quality Engineering

• Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test solutions.
• Execute and analyze automated and manual tests to identify quality risks.
• Support API, integration, functional, and regression testing activities.
• Help document test plans, test cases, and validation procedures.
• Participate in defect analysis and root cause investigations.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve software quality, reliability, and release confidence.

DevOps & Automation

• Assist with CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance using Azure DevOps.
• Support automation efforts that reduce manual work and improve engineering efficiency.
• Learn and apply infrastructure, deployment, and release management best practices.
• Help monitor pipeline execution, test results, and deployment outcomes.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on delivery speed and stability.

Reporting & Analytics

• Assist with engineering metrics, dashboards, and reporting initiatives.
• Support Power BI reporting efforts and data analysis activities.
• Help identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Contribute to operational reporting and quality measurement programs.

Innovation & Emerging Technologies

• Explore and evaluate AI-assisted engineering tools and automation opportunities.
• Participate in pilot projects involving test automation modernization and engineering productivity improvements.
• Research industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Quality Engineering and DevOps.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, or a related field.
• Students currently enrolled in a local Metro-Atlanta University set to graduate December 2027 - May 2028 preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
