Full description

We are recruiting a DevOps Engineer with hands-on Kubernetes and cloud expertise and a strong automation mindset for our client, an international group with 30 years of presence in Romania, whose polymer-based solutions shape everyday life. You’ll join their growing IT team in Bucharest and help deliver reliable, scalable platforms for their development teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for building, automating, and operating modern cloud and container infrastructures. You’ll work closely with development teams to implement efficient CI/CD processes, while ensuring scalable, reliable, and observable system operations across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and collaborating with security teams on SOC requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes clusters in on-premises and cloud environments
  • Implement and maintain GitOps workflows, for example, using Argo CD or Flux
  • Automate infrastructure and deployments using Infrastructure as Code
  • Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments in AWS and Azure
  • Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and observability, for example, using Prometheus and Grafana
  • Collaborate with security teams to meet SOC requirements and implement best practices
  • Evaluate and integrate open-source technologies
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support incident response

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with GitOps principles and related tools
  • Solid experience with AWS
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
  • Strong Linux and networking skills
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Programming or scripting skills, for example in Python or Bash
  • Understanding of security concepts and SOC processes
  • High degree of ownership; solution-oriented way of working
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Analytical capabilities and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement
  • English: business proficient / negotiation level

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of policy as code and security scanning tools
  • Experience operating open-source platforms
  • Experience with Azure
  • Good working knowledge of German
