Fund Services Europe Product Manager
As the Fund Services (FS) Europe Product Manager you will be part of a team responsible for driving the strategic vision, management and development of the FS product offering and its long-term profitability. Reporting to the Global Head of FS Product, you will have a particular focus on Europe. You will have direct accountability for investment strategy and the entire product life cycle ensuring that the product provides revenue, differentiated client experience, scalability and risk reduction. This means owning the service model, integrating with core Investor Services products, and developing the future state through product planning. To be successful in the role you will need to leverage your strong subject matter expertise in asset servicing product offerings, revenue streams and workflows. You will be required to specify market requirements for current and future products as well as develop a target Client base by leveraging external market indices and relevant market evaluation. This role will drive solutions across multi-disciplinary teams (including Systems, Service Delivery, Marketing Communications and Office of the General Counsel).
Key responsibilities:
Product Management
- Develop and be able to articulate to internal and external audiences a clear, concise, strategic vision for the product
- Build the roadmap for execution of that vision along with key stakeholders leveraging both proprietary and third-party vendor platforms
- Ensure the long-term profitability of the product
- Incorporate European specific requirements and market practices within the global product offering – with consistent operating models, marketing, pricing, services etc
- Assist Service Delivery in their drive to be more efficient, more controlled and more automated
- Ensure that product development matches industry developments and client strategic direction
- Ensure that product development matches BBH's strategic goals, maximizes leverage of existing architecture/services, and intentionally introduces new tools and product offerings
- Work with Marketing to develop and maintain all collateral (both for internal and external marketing) associated with this product
Risk and Regulatory
- Ensure that new and non-standard services (e.g. offer to a specific client at their request) have the appropriate level of risk management and control embedded
- Navigate BBH’s approval processes for approval of new products, services, and pricing
- Follow regulatory matters that will impact the FS business and ensure appropriate plans are in place to prepare for such changes
- Look for opportunities to create additional products, services and revenue from such changes
Industry Engagement
- Assist sales and RM partners to reach the targets and goals, whilst balancing ownership of the profitability of the product
- Develop BBH's brand, reputation and recognition in the marketplace as lead provider of this product
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience
- Prior industry experience in fund administration, ideally fund services
- Strong familiarity with asset management front and middle office processes and technology
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Effective application of quantitative and qualitative analysis to strategic planning
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Ability to learn and adapt to multiple IT and Information Systems
- Ability to identify, recommend and implement solutions
