UX Researcher

Description

Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is required for this role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting interviews, facilitating research sessions, and communicating findings with Spanish-speaking users and stakeholders.Our client is seeking a UX Researcher to help shape and improve digital platform experiences through user-centered research and actionable insights. This role will play a critical part in informing product and design decisions by uncovering user needs, validating concepts, and supporting continuous experience improvements.The ideal candidate is an experienced qualitative researcher who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams, and can quickly translate findings into practical recommendations. This position focuses on concept development, user feedback, and rapid research cycles that directly influence product strategy and design outcomes.You will collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders across multiple initiatives, including onboarding experiences, integrations, complex workflows, and AI-assisted solutions. Your work will help ensure that products are designed with real user needs in mind throughout the development lifecycle.This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role operating within a lean research model. Rather than leading large-scale research programs, you will conduct targeted studies, synthesize insights quickly, and provide recommendations that can be immediately applied by product and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative user research to inform product, design, and business decisions.
• Conduct research sessions and interviews in both English and Spanish as needed.
• Gather and synthesize user feedback to guide concept development and experience improvements.
• Support multiple concurrent research initiatives across onboarding, integrations, workflow optimization, and AI-enabled experiences.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute research activities including interviews, usability evaluations, concept testing, and feedback sessions.
• Manage research operations, including scheduling, participant tracking, stakeholder communication, recruitment coordination, and maintenance of research repositories.
• Facilitate planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, and research alignment meetings.
• Track research milestones, dependencies, risks, priorities, and deliverables across workstreams.
• Create research reports, executive summaries, insights presentations, and other documentation.
• Partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure research findings are incorporated into product decisions.
• Help establish and improve research processes, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English, with the ability to conduct interviews, moderate research sessions, and communicate insights in both languages.
• Strong experience conducting qualitative user research and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent facilitation skills for interviews and research sessions with diverse audiences, including end users, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience providing product and experience feedback that helps shape concepts prior to formal validation.
• Ability to conduct rapid-turnaround research and quickly synthesize findings for stakeholder review.
• Comfortable making UX recommendations using a combination of research findings, expert judgment, and design understanding.
• Ability to identify usability issues and improvement opportunities through heuristic evaluation and user-centered analysis.
• Experience collaborating closely with designers to improve workflows, reduce friction, and enhance usability.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with experience communicating insights to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or iterative product development environments.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lightweight quantitative research methods, including surveys and feedback programs.
• Familiarity with concept validation, experience testing, and iterative research methodologies.
• Exposure to AI-enabled, conversational, or intelligent user experiences.
• Experience supporting enterprise software, digital platforms, marketplaces, or other complex B2B environments.
• Understanding of interaction design, usability, and user-centered design principles.
• Experience collaborating closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $68.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
