Business Analyst

About the Role

The Business Analyst analyzes financial and operational data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support business decisions. This role prepares financial reports, forecasts, and profitability analyses; partners with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights; and contributes to budgeting, planning, pricing, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial performance. The Business Analyst role is an excellent opportunity to start your career in business Finance.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Process pricing and contract requests, maintain pricing data, and prepare quotes for new and existing business.
  • Analyze and communicate customer profitability for new and existing businesses, using profit-and-loss and cost models to support informed decisions and sustainable growth.
  • Review projected costs, identify efficiencies, and provide clear recommendations based on financial and operational analysis.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of pricing and analytical processes.
  • Conduct analyses of financial performance, highlighting key drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific business challenges.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis along with financial presentations

The Essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Math, or related field required.
  • 0-2 years in business analysis role or related experience preferred.
  • Professional written and spoken communication.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and mathematic skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, develop recommendations, and influence decision-making.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to contribute to a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of an integrated ERP system and sales reporting database helpful.
