Imperial Brady Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Saint-Laurent, QC. The IT Business Analyst - Digital Integrations serves as a critical link between business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and technical teams to drive successful digital transformation and integration initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting and delivering customer and vendor integration projects, documenting business processes and system requirements, managing production support activities, developing operational reporting and performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and future technology enhancements.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with technical aptitude, enabling them to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions while ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Digital Integration Management

  • Lead and support digital integration projects involving customers, vendors, third-party partners, and internal systems.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, technical, and data requirements for integrations.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, trading partners, vendors, and development teams.
  • Support implementation of APIs, EDI transactions, web services, data exchanges, and other digital connectivity solutions.
  • Coordinate project timelines, testing activities, issue resolution, and go-live readiness.
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively address issues impacting business operations.
  • Manage onboarding of new digital customers and vendors through established integration processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and automation.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements for system enhancements, integrations, and operational initiatives.
  • Create functional specifications, business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to identify business needs.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical requirements for development teams.
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives and enterprise technology standards.
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives related to new technology implementations.

Process Documentation & Optimization

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and system documentation.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for increased automation and efficiency.
  • Create current-state and future-state process maps.
  • Define, document, and standardize operational procedures across teams and departments.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate and current following system changes or process updates.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and enhance operational effectiveness.

Reporting & Team Metrics

  • Design, develop, and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for integrations, production support, project delivery, and team effectiveness.
  • Prepare recurring management reports and executive summaries.
  • Monitor integration volumes, processing performance, service levels, and exception management metrics.
  • Support data-driven decision making across business and IT teams.

Production Support & System Maintenance

  • Serve as a primary business resource supporting production applications and integration platforms.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents, data exceptions, and system issues.
  • Coordinate issue resolution across business teams, vendors, and technical support organizations.
  • Monitor system health and integration processing to ensure operational stability.
  • Support release management, application upgrades, system patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Document root cause analyses and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure production support activities are tracked, communicated, and resolved according to service expectations.

Enhancement Identification & Strategic Planning

  • Evaluate enhancement requests and recommend solutions based on business value and operational impact.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize future digital initiatives.
  • Develop business cases supporting system improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Identify technology gaps and recommend solutions that improve scalability, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in strategic roadmap planning for integrations and digital capabilities.
  • Research emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Support long-term digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English & French). Employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, outside vendors, and suppliers etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise systems and integration initiatives.
  • Experience working with customer-facing and vendor-facing digital integrations.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis and requirements gathering techniques.
  • Experience documenting workflows, business requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with:
  • EDI (X12)
  • APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • XML and JSON
  • ERP systems
  • CRM platforms
  • Integration middleware solutions
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Experience creating dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, logistics, customer service, or B2B transactional environments.
