Enterprise & Cloud Architect (m/f/d)

Your mission

Shape scalable, AI-enabled enterprise software and modern architectures across SAP and non-SAP environments. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise & Cloud Architect to evolve our software and technology landscape. You combine enterprise architecture with cloud-native technologies and modern AI architecture, establishing clear standards and reusable patterns that help our engineering teams build better software in practice.

• You define and evolve our enterprise, cloud and product architecture and design modern cloud-native and SaaS architectures.
• You establish pragmatic engineering standards and reusable patterns for microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, Domain-Driven Design, automated testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security and observability.
• You develop architecture patterns and guardrails for Generative AI, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation and foundation model integration, including security, data privacy, governance, monitoring and cost control.
• You design integration and target architectures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and non-SAP platforms and drive the modernization of existing applications toward modular and cloud-native architectures.
• You make technology decisions across Azure or AWS, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, data and AI platforms and work closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps and Security in architecture reviews.

What Matters to Us

You do more than create target architectures and architecture diagrams. You understand how modern, AI-enabled software is actually built and operated. You translate sound architecture and engineering principles into pragmatic solutions and provide hands-on technical guidance to help teams put them into practice. Your profile

• You have several years of experience as an Enterprise, Cloud, Solution or Software Architect and a strong practical understanding of modern software architecture and cloud-native development.
• You have solid expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS as well as experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and DevSecOps.
• You have experience with AI-enabled applications and modern AI architectures, including Generative AI, AI Agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation, ideally using Azure AI, AWS AI Services, SAP Business AI or comparable platforms.
• You are familiar with SAP architectures and integrations, ideally SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP. Hands-on experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and SAP BTP, Kyma runtime is a strong plus.
• You have successfully put engineering standards and architecture guardrails into practice and can communicate complex technical topics clearly, both with engineering teams and at a strategic level.
