Full description

MRI is seeking a Financial Analyst responsible for reporting, analysis, and business insights supporting the Finance Operations organization. This role serves as a key partner to leadership by delivering accurate and timely reporting, tracking operational and financial performance, measuring data quality and accuracy metrics, and providing actionable insights through dashboards and analytics.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets across multiple systems. They possess strong Power BI and reporting skills, can translate complex data into meaningful business insights, and proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial and operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring financial and operational reports
  • Partner with Finance Operations leaders to provide reporting that supports strategic decision-making
  • Reconcile and validate data from multiple systems to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency
  • Design and maintain reporting that measures data quality, completeness, and accuracy across Finance Operations processes
  • Track key accuracy metrics and identify trends, recurring defects, and root causes
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify gaps in data integrity and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop scorecards and performance reporting to monitor data quality and process compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the quality and reliability of business-critical data
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights to business leaders
  • Create self-service reporting solutions that improve visibility into key financial and operational metrics
  • Design data visualizations that effectively communicate trends, performance results, and improvement opportunities
  • Continuously enhance reporting capabilities through automation and dashboard optimization
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver scalable analytical solutions
  • Perform detailed analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support business cases, forecasting activities, and ad hoc analytical requests
  • Develop recommendations based on data-driven findings
  • Present insights and findings to management in a clear and concise manner
  • Assist in identifying process improvement and automation opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Advanced analytical or business intelligence certifications are a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Business Analytics, Reporting, or a related analytical role
  • Experience supporting Finance Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar business functions preferred
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and multiple business systems
  • Experience developing dashboards and business intelligence solutions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data modeling
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, reporting methodologies, and KPI development
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and project management systems preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL and data querying tools is highly desirable
